John Somers

John was born and raised in West Michigan.  After graduating from East Grand Rapids High School, John attended Michigan State University and graduated with a B.A. in Supply Chain Management with Honor.  Next and while living in Chicago, IL, John worked for the largest international freight forwarder and contract logistics provider in the world, while also attending graduate business school at Loyola University, where he obtained his MBA with concentrations in International Business and in Entrepreneurship.  John has since held various positions within Almond Products, Inc., headquartered in Spring Lake, MI., and is currently the sole Director / Chairman, and acting EVP.  John resides in Spring Lake, MI with his wife Sarah, and enjoys spending time on the water with friends and family, kiteboarding, snowmobiling, and other outdoor activities.  John is a member of the Sons of the American Legion and serves as the Chapter President and a Board Member for the Folds of Honor Michigan Chapter.

Mark Kelley

Retired Founder and President of Parallax Technology Corporation.  Returned to his home town of Grand Haven, Michigan in 2005.  Mark served in the Army in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Division during 1960-70, then received a BS degree in Business Administration from Grand Valley State University in 1973.   Upon retirement he was a member of the local VFW, DAV, and American Legion.  At the VFW he helped to shore up the membership and finances of the VFW.  In 2007, began playing in the Grand Haven Golf Course (Birthplace of the Folds of Honor) Folds of Honor Fundraiser.  In 2014, he co-found the Folds of Honor Michigan Chapter with Dr. John Rooney.  As a disabled Vet he has supported our fallen and disabled Vets as a service officer (helping vet thru the VA benefit process), financial scholarships to Grand Valley Nursing School for outbound summer students helping Vets and children with special needs, also providing scholarships for Veteran’s attending GVSU.  

Cara L. Galbavi

Cara L. Galbavi is licensed Michigan attorney, and owner of Cara Galbavi Law, a tailored law firm focused in the areas of estate planning, probate, trust administration, business, nonprofit work, succession planning, and real estate.  Originally from Northeast Ohio, Cara obtained her B.A. from Youngstown State University, and later graduated with her J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law in Indiana.  In 2010, she opened her own firm in West Michigan, to concentrate her practice on the personal and business planning needs of her clients. 

Cara is active in the community, serving on numerous boards and committees, including Spring Lake Rotary Club, Grand Haven Main Street Downtown Development Authority, Homeless Prevention Partners, the Chamber of Commerce for Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Ferrysburg, and Winterfest, Inc., as well as being a member of the Lake Michigan Estate Planning Council and Ottawa County Bar Association.

She and her husband, Kevin, and her stepdaughter, Sophia, currently live on Smith’s Bayou on Spring Lake, and can be seen enjoying the water on their boat throughout the summer months.
