Since 2007, Folds of Honor has carried forth this singular, noble mission. To honor the sacrifice of America’s fallen and disabled service members by providing educational scholarships to their spouses and children.
The Michigan chapter of the Folds of Honor Foundation was formed because the first event was held at the Grand Haven Golf Club in 2006. That event was held in August 2006 and raised $8,513. Those funds were used to help fallen heroes in Michigan.
Since that time, Grand Haven Golf Club has established itself as the birthplace of The Folds of Honor Foundation. We have raised in excess of $200,000 for the cause since that first tournament. A group of Grand Haven veterans and supporters of the Foundation came together to establish the Michigan chapter. We sincerely believe that Michigan can be a huge benefactor to the national organization.
IN THE FOLDED FLAG WE SEE THE HEAVY PRICE OF FREEDOM
Yet it’s also a symbol of hope, representing the enduring ideals that make this country a beacon of democracy. We chose this logo because it reflects our mission – to honor the sacrifice of America’s heroes, while giving hope to the bearers of their legacy.
Folds of Honor has grown from a vision into a movement. This folded flag is a constant reminder of those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. It inspires us to help equip and educate their loved ones in need of our support. Thank you for embracing the call.
